Originally built in the 1930s, the roadside motor court hotel was redesigned, updated, and reopened in March 2000 by Liz Lambert, founder of Bunkhouse Group. In fact, Hotel San Jose was the first property of Bunkhouse Group, which now boasts four super unique, Texas-based hotels, plus Austin’s famous Jo’s Coffee, which is located in the parking lot of Hotel San Jose.
